It is now official that some universities will still do a Post UTME screening/test for prospective students after the Jamb/Utme examinatiions that were held in April. The University of Lagos hereby announces that 2010/2011 Post-UTME Screening Exercise for Admission into ALL COURSES/PROGRAMMES for the 2010/2011 Academic Year commences on June 28, 2010.

@ Paschal: The requirement for UNILAG POST UTME is just a minimum score of 200 in your UTME. Yes there would be purchase of forms in the banks in Unilag @ Mrs Akinleye: The screening commences on the 28th June, 2010 and it is expected to be a week long exercise. @ Anthony: Congratulations on your 275. The only issue is that Unilag only accepts 1st choice. IMPORTANT NOTICE! IMPORTANT NOTICE!! IMPORTANT NOTICE!!! Today's, 28/05/2010, papers carry the headline that "HOUSE OF REPS STOPS POST JAMB". Let's get the fact's right: 1) Only a BILL was introduced today by Samson Positive ( PDP, Kogi) calling for the scrapping of POST UTME. It is still a BILL and not yet a LAW. House proceedings on the matter was later adjourned to next week. 2) For the Bill to scrap POST UTME to become a law, it would have to pass through the Senate and then the President has to sign it into law, IN NIGERIA, THIS COULD TAKE FOREVER. 3) Nigerian Universities are AUTONOMOUS, and it is they and they alone who can determine the criteria for admitting students. 4) In 2008, it was said that "POST UME EXERCISE" would be scrapped, POST UME EXERCISE still held across the country in 2008 and even in 2009. So this is just another bluff. While the topic on whether POST UTME should be scrapped or not is raging in the House of Reps, I can assure you that UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS IS GOING TO CONDUCT POST UTME SCREENING EXERCISE THIS YEAR, so you better be prepared. and go get UNILAG POST UTME PAST QUESTIONS and practice them, they could really help you. @ De jong: You are going to write the exams in unilag, the exam is computer based and the three centres are 2 in unilag and 1 in Electronic Test Company office in Unilag @florence : The requirement is a minimum score of 200 in UTME and make sure you chose Unilag as first choice @ John : Dont be much bothered, Unilag would release the date Social Science would write their post utme.

All this details I am about to post now are all based on the 2008/2009 UNILAG POST UME EXERCISE. 1) The cut-off mark to be eligible to sit for UNILAG POST UME is 200 in your JAMB. 2) Only those who chose UNILAG as First Choice are eligible to sit for the POST UME EXERCISE. 3) You are going to be tested based on the FOUR (4) subjects you did in your JAMB. 4) Ten questions are asked per subject, 40 questions in total. Time alloted is 40 minutes for the 40 questions. 5) Your JAMB score is 50% of your aggregate score while your POST UME is the other 50%. 6) Cut-off marks are gotten from the aggregate scores. The highest cut-off for the 2009 POST UME was 69% (LAW) while the Lowest was 49%(Guidance and Counselling). Unilag Post Utme Result is out, After buying the Scratch card for N500 in any of the banks in Unilag, Log on to "www.unilag.edu.ng" to check your result.

UNILAG POST UTME RESULT SCRATCH card costs only N500, while it is not limited in supply like someone said. You can only get it in Unilag and some selected stores. Checking your result would end on the 3rd of August.
